Dundonald Korean Church is a fellowship of believers under the Lordship of Christ. Our supreme desire is to know Christ and to be equipped to be a mission-orientated community to all nations.
We are a visionary Church striving to be a role model in the local Korean community by restoring Biblical values. We are consistently challenging our congregation to be faithful stewards of the Gospel in Community and Church life. By doing this, we are hoping to motivate many young new believers and older people to preach the Gospel faithfully.
Our History
Our church was originally established about ten years ago with six of us trying to reach South-Koreans, Indians & other international students. Initially, we went to Brixton for outreach. Now, every month, we go to Camden town to explain the message of Christianity.
For two years, we have been a part of Dundonald Church and are now joining in completely as part of the Co-Mission Initiative. We enjoy their Bible-teaching, their commitment to mission and their welcome to internationals.
We hope to teach them more about prayer! Our founding pastor, Joshua, leads by example praying 6 hours per day!
Our current ministry
The Korean congregation currently has grown to be about 70 adult members, including many young people, and 30 children. We are excited that 40 per cent of the adults are North Korean members, mostly new Christians.
They have been fed Communist ideas but through the gospel, with time, effort and prayer we have seen many brought to Christ and have seen a huge change in them. Through the gospel and weekly bible study meetings, we are starting to see them mature as people of God.
Our aims
Our aim is to love Christ and become more like him through the Bible. And we want to proclaim him to the hundreds of thousands of South Koreans living in South London, and learn how to reach other nations through Dundonald church.
Currently we support 100 churches in India and 2 orphanages established by our founding pastor, Joshua. The children in our orphanage pray for our church and world mission everyday.
We also hope to train our North Korean members to plant underground churches in North Korea as missionaries.
Although Korean members still find English Christianity a bit difficult to understand, we are delighted to share with you all in our Lord Jesus Christ! We are very much enjoying being a part of Dundonald Church.
We warmly invite you to visit the 1pm Korean service, Bible studies, prayer meetings and activities. We are a family who celebrate our differences, but you will also find that we are a family to one another. Come and join us, and enjoy God’s work that is happening among us.
